GIROFLE Glazed turnips with cloves

Little things that change everything

  • 2 pinches of cloves in roquefort sauce served with entrecote or hanger steak
  • 2 pinches in onion fondue mixed with lentil salad, walnuts and smoked herring
  • 1 pinch sprinkled on flambe banana with one dash of rum

Recipe for 4 servings

Pour 1 tablespoon of peanut oil and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce in a pot, add 2 long turnips peeled and cut in thick slices. 

Add 30g of fresh grated ginger, 2 cloves and 2 ladles of chicken stock.

Cook for about 12 minutes while stirring delicately.

Serve those glazed turnips with black pudding or confit beef cheeks.
