This white pepper of Penja originating from Cameroon is one of the first PGI of the African continent. This pepper gives out strong notes of menthol and vetiver while also bringing aromas of cold smoke. On the palate, this pepper has a hot and pungent flavor while evoking aromas of musky notes. Finally, this white pepper of Penja is characterized by a suave and velvety final note.

In cooking this pepper goes very well with red meat or lamb. It also goes perfectly with a slice of sourdough bread toasted with a drizzle of hazelnut oil or with asparagus roasted in butter.
