Asian Spice Blend
This blend is widely used in Southern Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine. It is perfect for flavoring duck and pork dishes. It also imparts a subtle aniseed aroma to shrimp, fish, white meats, marinades, and broths. The Shanghai blend pairs wonderfully with sweet-and-savory dishes, especially when combined with soy sauce or nuoc-mam (Vietnamese fish sauce).
