The traditional ingredients of four-spice are cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and ginger. Sometimes pepper is added. Four-spice is perfectly adapted to bases and beef or poultry stock, but also to cold cuts, casseroles, fresh or dry vegetables, tomato sauce. As Oriental do, we use it for stews, meatballs, and meat cooked with dry fruits. Without forgetting desserts: fruit compote, cookie dough, gingerbread, pudding, cakes.
