Coriander is used since Antiquity as medicinal herb and aroma. As a lot of spices, Romans introduced it in Europe, as they used it for its conservative properties with meats. Charlemagne ordered its use in imperial farms its bactericid properties. The perfume of the coriander grain is subtily oranged with a little bitterness. It is a spice to associate with no hesitation with fishes, grills, patatoes, potages, rice, salads and eggplant. In addition it can be mixed very well with other spices, that's the reason why we fount it in the most spices mixs.
