Bomba Rice is a rice variety cultivated in Spain, originating from Valencia. It boasts high absorption capacity and an unmatched texture.

It's somewhat unknown, but Spain is the second largest rice producer in Europe, accounting for 25 to 30% of the total European production! The main rice-producing regions in the country are Andalusia, Extremadura, Catalonia, the Valencian Community, Aragon, and Navarre.

Bomba rice is widely used in Spanish cuisine, especially in the preparation of paella, an iconic dish from the Valencia region. Its unique texture, which remains firm and absorbs the flavors of the ingredients it's cooked with, makes it a popular choice for rice dishes requiring good liquid absorption, such as paella. It's highly prized by top chefs because its grains always remain separate, and it doesn't suffer from overcooking.

In addition to the famous "Paella Valenciana," Bomba rice is also used in a variety of other Spanish dishes, such as rice stews (arroz), rice soups, and seafood dishes. Its ability to maintain its shape and texture during cooking makes it a versatile ingredient appreciated by chefs.

The recommended cooking time is 15 minutes for moist rice and 18 minutes for dry rice.
